To Hear the Heart Calling

A lonely voice pierces the quiet night, and speaks to no one in this saddest dark. Though stars aloft hold a comfort and delight. They shine not for me this night's journeys arc. The face I seek fades in a tear stained sky, stripped of her breath in a final minute. Questioning still, reasons as for the why, this cold lifeless world without love in it. Hands stretch to the sky, in its dark they remain, finding nothing to grasp, trembling still, to reach into this hollow dark in pain, and finds palms empty, to never fill. To hear the heart calling in quiet night. To find darkness envelops any light
