To Fly Again

A bright clear day welcomes me now With warm sunshine lifting somehow All the heavy thoughts that were there Leaving me light, without a care The breeze moves things slightly all around The clouds pass by without a sound A pleasant reminder returns How new days can heal all that burns From the fires that life ignites Taking us down, during our flights My challenges have been a lot Still freedom, I have always sought With strength to fly again, I will With gratitude, I will be still Heidi Sands 5/5/18
