I remember the hip hugger bell bottoms fondly, I have painted many canvases of hippies, V-W vans, peace signs, Birkenstocks, and I currently have three lava lamps. I did not have room to put the FOOTPEDAL of my car which was a little bare foot out of medal. Adorable!

Thank you Warren. I was not expecting anything at all, but it is nice when things fall into place like this.

OMG, Caren. I just loved this poem. You sure know how to bring back old memories. I missed Woodstock by a few years too young, but both my brothers were there. Great job on this form! Congratulations on your 1st place win! Charlie :)

Thank you Charles. I am thrilled! I wondered if it was too simple. I missed it also. I was born in 1952, but my strict Bible-belt upbringing and the unfree way I was living at the time in a small midwestern town would have never released me into her fun-ness anyway. The drugs would have shocked me also, so I guess it is okay to miss it.

I graduated from high school in 1970, so I was all about those hip-hugger bell-bottoms.

Thank you Line. I was so in love with the 60's except for the Viet Nam War as I felt so sorry for so many there. I was too young and too naive to go to Woodstock, but I surely loved Sonny and Cher, and the Beatles, the long hair, the hugger bell-bottoms. They are coming back I bought four pair of them two years ago. The folk music, ah, "love all your brothers." Yes! So much goodness then.
