Time has so fully eclipsed my days of rest Without much hope of a return for grandeur Sometimes peace and tranquility are just best But nothing seems to be what is truth for sure Sleep evades me, time is my forgotten quest What more pain in life must I live to endure Serving time’s sentence I must not be undone Immune to time’s influence I do become Russell Sivey

Becoming a parent is what made me despise time and it's evil, elusive ways lol. It went by so slow when we were kids. These days I can't keep up. I'm not quite sure if you are speaking of being ready for your time "sentence" to end or that your thoughts on it are similar to mine. Either way, great write. The best poems make you think.
