Time's Distance

Time’s Distance I hunger for the distant scent of you adrift on lusts aromatic “aft-play” cloying barbs of memory clad in blue slowly fade upon the breeze into gray I thirst on the desert of your absence aching to taste the moisture of your skin taunted by mirage like disappearance of a moment no ending could begin I listen for sounds of muffled voices as sparrow songs announce the breaking day agonizing over mindless choices wandering in a lusting minds dismay I sit, time passing, each moment weeping as I leave my love silently sleeping 8/28/2016

thanks for stopping Daniel. Sonnets have a way of seducing me into the melancholy of romanticism.
