in a nook above the city
where i hang my hat
i hide away faceless
and watch the earth
hurl through space
its lights flashing
in every colour
neon signs alight
the city takes on
a whole persona
hidden in plain sight
a mystique of
rainwashed blur
and whispers
in the distance
but here i am
immersed
in divine serenity
