Time tracks

Forever the shadow, tangled light Held in place by invisible edges And there the slanted, stumbled plight Echoes of always repeating pledges Under the dawn, where eyes don't see Where caresses sooth the rebel Reality listens, hears a dampened plea Heard by the ear shaped pebble No-one is bound or prevented to leave Each of us settled, sedated Looking for semblance of self to retrieve In the existence that we created

Thank you Hilda, it is a little on the dark side. Just a skip and a jump and we're back in the daylight x

This one is quite lyrically profound Dilly, reminds me of Oasis in their heyday (it’s good to be free) in particular, love to hear you singing or reciting this one, it flows so well, gotta love that ear shaped pebble, cheers David

I recorded the first stanza but haven't put it up. I'll mull it over. The ear shaped pebble was part of a conversation that seeped into the poem - thank you for your encouraging words
