Time To Hear Our Youth

Hello youth of Planet Earth
Which spans from East to West,
And North to South,
Let us hear your global choice,
Products of tomorrow with a voice.,
Prepare, rejoice.
Too many in this world ignore,
Listening to you, opens a door,
Your input is essential, you are,
The embryo of the future near or far.
The future has no bar.
No cultural or ethnic rule applies,
For you are all one and the same,
Your strength we ask, for not your cries,
No more to take abuse or blame,
You are being exposed to global fate,
Careful you don’t become the bait,
So, youth of today and of this world unite,
Fight the good fight,
Let millions take to the street,
A sea of youth, no weapons, merely choice,
With a steadfast loaded voice.
Surrender on a happy note to marching feet.
So awesome do the footsteps of youth beat.
More will follow you by example.
Your steadfast, loaded voice is ample.

Disrespect and condescending tone Is all I hear Years have passed knowledge is literally in the palm of their hands And yet they seem no more enlightened than before Without excuses or means of defense

They are the future, must be nurtured to achieve their dreams in a constructive way; beautiful lines for the future generations.

I agree with you, Jenny. More people should show faith in our younger generations; alas some look at youths negatively and blame them at every chance they get. We were all youths once, and we too wanted to be treated respectfully. ~ Warm regards & Hugs my friend // paul

Youth is the cream of the society and the formulators of tomorrow. They should stay united and their strength should be pooled for common good. They should fight the good fight, not with weapons but with their voice ! A very inspiring message to the youngsters. Enjoyed your powerful poem, dear Jenny !

I remember about a decade ago reading a local survey of what youth were wanting. A consistent want was more time with their parents, which I thought rather telling. As a retired early childhood teacher I liked slogan not sure where from 'Families that walk together talk together' Well balanced piece. Best regards as always from David in NZ

Great advice, my friend Jennifer. The direction the world will take is up to the youth of today. No weapons except your voice ... I like that choice. May God be with them, they will decide if we have a future or not. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

For such a time as this, let the youth give voice to heavenly things. Let love reverberate and join in great song. Let those feet of peace and good news go forth so we may worship our Creator and Savior.

A good one, Jennifer! And you're right: we don't listen to the youth and they have plenty to say!
