Time of Reflection

Winter brings us a quiet time of reflection Snow falls in the stillness with one color of white Holidays to celebrate, time to share memories Of the past and these present moments A new year begins, helping us to start over Or to follow through, with inspiring dreams Cold air is fresh, invigorating, striking reminders Clarity is seen between bare branches to distant skies A chance to re-evaluate how our time is spent To not end up regretting where it actually went And learn to fall lightly, when a tipping point arrives Knowing later, the melting into rivers will soak ground Nourishing the seeds of beautiful flowers to come Heidi Sands 12/21/19
