I fail to acknowledge I'm on fire retain faith the next death dive ~ will put out the flames beating my wings makes me tire my haphazard composition fills me with shame I'd play myself a lullaby though I've forgotten how to self soothe so just leave me to stare up at the sky figure out what if anything I'm trying to prove the weight of someone else's time seems affixed to the scales on my skin whilst the pendulum swings closer to the chime I'm already exhausted with falsely ascribed sin oh the ocean isn't the ocean and the shore isn't the shore I'm sorry I caused this commotion I won't do it anymore

Dear DD, Gosh! I am just speechless, i think marc chagall does inspire you so well, this is beyond powerful and i cant help but quote "oh the ocean isn't the ocean and the shore isn't the shore I'm sorry I caused this commotion I won't do it anymore" wow! I am in awe of those lines! The depth! Of how sometimes what we see and feel and everything we are told and labelled too as arent really what we are! This is beyond impeccable! Another one of my new faves from you! I love how your poem did highlight all the elements in the artwork! So good! I need to definitely write an ekphrasis soon again! You inspire me to do those!
