For The Contest, “Dodoitsu”
Sponsor, Ink Empress

A year appeared very long,
In those days when I was young.
Each season seemed not to end;
So free of worries.
But then, the older I grew
I found that time passed too fast
January- brand new year;
Flash- it's December.
Thrown into a busy life-
My brain raced down the fast lane;
Doing this and doing that-
Zooming to the next.
Could the measurement of time
Be ruled by the stress of life;
Racing toward solutions
To achieve our goals?
Not like when I played with dolls-
And life was simple and fun.
All that slow time wishing that
I was all grown up.
