Till It Hurts

When you love somebody, love somebody till it hurts till there's nothing more to give and leave no word unsaid When you love somebody, love somebody to the end see them through the darkness heart to heart, head to head And when the pain near overcomes from burdens shared by love remember what lies other side when smiles reflect the sun When you love somebody, love somebody till it hurts till doubt and fear and sorrow have long been put to bed

Mike it is in the past. But that person acts coldly towards the partner anyway. That hurts.It is forgiven in the past. But person did not let go. Ended up hurting himself. For me a hurtful past is forgiven not to relive it. Happy SaturdAY. XXXX-OOOO.

Hello Mike Gentile, Yes i agree to love somebody till it hurts. I believe in true love and it should be strong and never dies. But when one partner is faithful and the other is not---- that is very painful so it hurts. that person forgives, but the person that cheated is not sorry for what he had done. That hurts. Now in the pass.

I couldn't agree more, Mike. Lovely work. I'm a firm believer that true love never dies; that it suffers, but never gives up, that it hurts, but the pain is somehow worth it. Saddest of all is when you truly love someone for a very long time, and it is not reciprocated, while both of you go on with your lives without ever knowing the depth of each other's feelings. Your poem is marvelous, my friend, and it has inspired me to write a poem on this theme, as well.
