Thus Ageing

Time oozes fast and ageing comes, Health ebbs away like water spilled; Until at last old figure sums, Soon The End plays a final still. Glimpses of grace bring mellow feel, Reach for a bit of drowsy jazz; Old echoes trace a certain will, Watch humour fit life's crumbling fest; Ignore the ails of abrupt pains, Notice grim light as stillness floods; Gain what unveils deep insight plain. Observe dim sight and dwindling blood, Last yet not least zest's final squeeze, Death claims the feast as soul greets breeze. Leon Enriquez 18 April 2018 Singapore
