Through Their Eyes
Wearing all black
so I'd blend in with the night,
waited in a city back alley
till the time was right,
hearing approaching footsteps,
got my knife ready,
steadily and quietly
creeping up upon him,
plunged it in his heart
so he'd die instantaneously,
grabbed his wallet
and got out of there fast,
walking quickly I started
counting the cash,
then I walked up to the
old run down apartment,
went in and got to the
door and knocked upon it,
Lou answered and said
"you got the dough?"
I nodded yes and opened
the billfold,
returning to my own place
I went into the bathroom,
taking the needle out
I jabbed it into my arm,
feeling euphoric once again as
the heroin started working
its charm...
