I think "dread" might have worked, but I needed syllables!

Just watch out for the man with the straw hat you know the trespasser--I've been having so much trouble with Villanelle's. I'm with Jeff, I too learn every single day. Thank you for your visit, Milton...I Am Anaya

Aw, thanks so much, I Am Anaya. Every time I see your name, I think it should be a palindrome or an anagram. It is quite unique. I, too, learn every single day. I don't think anyone ever completely arrives!

I learn something every day here at the soup. I did not know what the difference between a haiku and a Senryu was. This one certainly fits that definition better, and a bunch of what I have posted as haiku are more likely categorized better as these. Thanks for the didactic Senryu!

You are very welcome, Jeff. Haiku are always about nature, while Senryu are about human feelings, emotions, etc. Both follow the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. Tanka is about both and add two 7-syllable lines, so you have 5-7-5-7-7. They can be tricky.
