We ALWAYS pay a high price for love ... always, for whatever or whoever we love, we eventually lose. Most of us accept the payment, for what is life without it? But when your heart is rent in two, it's hard to NOT contemplate giving it up ... if only there was an On/Off switch we could flip when we hurt so deeply. Wonderful write, Lin.
