Rice with green pigeon peas-arroz con gandules

Pork roasted on the stick-cerdo asado en una vara

Three KingsDay-tradicion en Puerto Rico y en otros paises latinos los niños reciben regalos el 6 de enero

January 6, 2016 The Three Kings Day morning arrived. Juan and Alicia woke up. They searched for their gifts under the bed. Juan found for the laptop and Alicia the purse she wanted. They ran to the kitchen to show Ana who was cooking the rice with green pigeon peas. Juan was roasting the pork on the stick in the yard. He heard the emotion of the kids. Carlos decided to enter the house to see what was happening. Juan was playing a game in the laptop. Alicia was filling her purse with girls stuff. At midday, the pork was cooked. The family sat at the table to make a prayer and later they ate the food they prepared. Carlos read aloud a note the Three Kings left before leaving their home last night. The note said that they only brought one gift to Juan and Alicia, since the most important thing is to share the traditions with the family. The kids agreed with the note. After the lunch, the kids continued to play with their gifts until the night. The End Nayda Ivette 1-6-2016
