Thoughts of Time
Thoughts Of Time
Written: by Tom Wright

Time’s habitual swiftness
Has lain my majority year’s waste.
In youth, I envisioned my block of time
As belonging to me, and never ending;
As older I grew it became apparent,
That time was of God’s giving,
And quantity, of His choosing;
What I had called, my time,
Was by the millisecond being metamorphosed
Into memories of persons, places, and things;
Each memory finds itself struggling to survive
And while some have been kept alive by tears,
Others have withered and escaped my mind’s domain
From lack of methodical thought;
