thoughts drift to sirens

I've been watching Twilight with my daughter and even though I was never a fan, there is something compelling about those drawn together. Then I read a siren poem, which reminded me of when I viewed a siren painting exhibition. So I got lost in the idea for a second and wrote this.
collapsing into the fall thoughts of another so compelling the rest of the world evaporates into black rushes past descending into a singular moment so intoxicating tranquil yet chaotic all consuming yet longing begins before it even ends recovery time forever except you pull back deny yourself the pain continue to exist in the dilated 'just before' the painful unknown of the never casting greyness over life gaining nothing except some impossible to assemble seconds of that missed moment of existence

Another intriguing piece of poetry from you Dilly, piercing into the moment of self denial, but does/did that moment play out in an alternate reality, feels like it especially when recovery time takes forever? You really do take the reader upon the cusp of reason yet again, a thought provoking piece, easy to understand, even if the answer is forever elusive, cheers David

We'll have to see how my muse unfolds as I watch the rest of the Twilight movies :) I appreciate your supportive words. I only used to write like this for Brian's contests - maybe I'll let it back into my repertoire :)

I like your train of thought, DD, especially 'begins before it even ends' - seeming to transpose the statement (ends before it even begins). Another FAV. x
