i'm not too sure about all the 'got to protect' attitudes people have today with respect to kids growing up

I love this and for some reason it reminded me of a bumper sticker I saw recently, " Give up all hope for a better past" Not sure what the connection is but I think it's something about active acceptance of past losses as critical learning event, opportunity for redemption.
