We delight in writer’s block
as but moments on life’s clock
where we’re prompted to be still,
surrendering to God’s will.
If it’s ordained we will write,
else from this urge too alight,
for quietude is a boon,
beauteous like yonder moon.
Each point of the Ferris wheel,
to soul holds equal appeal.
There never is a dead end,
when our will, to God we bend.
Thus when words fail, we just pause,
struggling not to know the cause,
for when we’re empty, soul’s pull
will make sure heart’s again full.
