How did this year fly by so fast?
It seems like Spring was yesterday
when flowers bloomed in fine display.
The lovely Spring seemed not to last
as Summer came to make its stand
with longer days and fun times planned.
Before we knew the Summer passed,
as lush, green leaves gold-red became;
a brand new season made its claim.
Now Fall is here, bright colors cast
on lovely scenes of hills and trees;
it too is fading by degrees.
Soon it will lead to Winter's blast,
a time for snow and festive cheer;
and then goodbye to this old year.
How did this year fly by so fast?
The lovely Spring seemed not to last;
before we knew the Summer passed.
Now Fall is here, bright colors cast;
soon it will lead to Winter's blast.
