This Worn Cliche

‘Tis next to nothing, or so they say, tomorrow is another day Or something akin to this worn cliché, when time allows no other way Do your best to keep the hounds at bay, until every man has his say, [and] Beware the follies of festive and gay, the piper you must surely pay.

"Beware the follies of festive and gay, the piper you must surely pay." I am being festive next Tuesday and I will be gay. I hope I do not have to pay the piper!

So what is different about next Tuesday, Caren? You are always festive and gay! And, I suspect you have paid the piper a few times along the way, eh?

Jenna, I was simply playing around with the idea of cliches. Not to be taken terribly seriously.

So true Milton, you get nothing for free in this life, you have to earn it. Tom

Thanks, Tom. I was trying to play on the idea of cliches, and each line was supposed to be one.
