This Or That
The idea of either this or that appears
as a dubious dilemma tough options offer
as you walk on unsure road that wanders,
the forks would test if your judgment wavers,
senses would know if arcane wisdom falters,
none truly trustworthy in the end, however.
You hang on a pendulum in constant motion,
swing in dithering harmonic confusion.
The clock’s hands don’t ever stop to wind,
hours come and go but they don’t decide.
The destined journey would be easy a bit
on a road of sense unforked and straight,
the dilemma would acquire no definition
if on the journey you pay no attention
to the alternatives, and mingle this and that
into a seamless clear logic behind facts.
The state of either and/or would disappear
from the radar of reckoning altogether.
It would be like a quandary situation,
when you swing between two options,
either to hold me or walk with my shadow.
The alternatives would disappear you know
if you mold the mind in emotion of a lover.
The choice that you make would not waver,
it would flow only in one chosen direction
to where I am or what I am you discern.
