This Old House

As you walk though the front door The hinges are lose and the paint is peeling The roof shingles need replacing The porch and stairs in need of repair Yet once you enter this old house It’s beauty is beyond compare The heart of it’s stove is still burning strong The soul of it’s floor shines forever more The living room that holds this heart felt stove Is decorated with silver and gold The memories that hang upon the wall Are it’s history from all who walked it's halls For the outside is old but the inside is new Traveling though time with you So my love let me say I will look inside of you As you do to me and our outside will never grow old
