This Is Mortality
Life on earth is short*; with deep sigh, breath ends…
This is mortality I ought to face;
Yet such is not dreadful, since the Lord sends
to my fragile soul whisper of His grace.
Determined to prevail
I do pray without fail
for faithful servant’s sail
so triumphant
not defiant
still radiant.
I’ll make the best with life while God attends
to my heart, almost shattered by doubts' race.
Above the blue sky, He watches my trail
with reward’s grant!
*Psalm 89:47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
