This Fragile Life - Tribute To Bob
Fragile Life
Tonight I learned,
quite by accident
that my dear friend
lays dying of the virus.
I called him this weekend,
in all this craziness
to check on him....call it a gut hunch
his phone just went to message.
He gasped his greeting,
what would take normally a minute took 5,
he said he was not in much pain,
but air was so dear.
Of course I cannot see him,
his family is not near,
with the Covid he cant have visitors,
my God - he must have so much fear.
My tears they run, my heart it breaks
My dear friend Bob at 85 is so great.
Hat's off to you sir....my friend of many years
You have been a coach, a mentor, a teacher, a father.
Life is so damn fragile.
