Listen to poem:

Thinking of you

"Violinist : Diana Yukawa Vocals : Jemma Lyrics : The Poet"
If you start Dianna's video on the 26th second and Jemma's voice recording on the 13th second simultaneously, my words fit exactly to the music.

Where do we go to?
Feelings so blue now,
When we think of you.
So many souls are gone now.
Gone forever into the blue.
Lost not forgotten.
Thinking of you.
Thinking of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where do we go to now?
Where do we go?
Something familiar and new.
Dear one I need you.
I am no where near you .
Feeling this song is for you.
See I long for you now .
All on my own now.
My body longs to know you.
I light a candle loving you now .
longing too.
Longing for you.
You are my savior.
I am needing you.
Happy as I am,
Missing you too.
I do need you close now.
Needing you so.
Where dear are you now?
Seeing you now.
Longing for you I am too.
Longing for you.
You are my savior.
I am needing you.
Happy as I am,
Missing you too.
I do need you close now.
Needing you so.
Where dear are you now?
Seeing you now.
If I don't re-check every thing I type, I type some pretty weird things. I often have to sent a correction Email after I read what I have sent. My excuse is old age, of course I don't presume you have the same excuse. .lol Have a happy day !
heheheheh Well I am kinda glad that you did like it Zyool, but I maintain I wasn't upset, because not every one has the same taste. Thank you for letting me know it was a mistake. Because I am wildly proud of anything that my granddaughter is involved it. I can now thank you for your lovely comment. Cheers Wen
My dearest Wen, I’m so happy to be back to congratulate you on your so worthy first place win. Wow - I’m congratulating both you and your beautiful granddaughter Jem for such a magnificent production. For, that’s what it is - more than a poem. An array of emotions felt through the beautiful words, singing and violinist. Now it’s my turn to be proud of you and that I really am. Many congratulations. Your talent shines through here. Hugs and applause dear, sweet friend xx
Bravo! This is how to compose emotion and...your Granddaughter has a special gift for both voice quality and phrasing--not easy with undeveloped coordination of melody and lyrics--so proud of you both!
Thanks Craig this was a challenge and a half !! All the research and time was worth it. Jem being in California and me in Sydney Australia made it special for me that we both had a hand in it. She helps my husband write poetry all the time. Many thanks for your acknowledgement of our work. Regards Wen
Wow! This is perfect especially the singing. I did the same when i wrote mine, i made my sister sing my lyrics few times, to see if it flows. Your lyrics is just so beautiful and the singer did an excellent job. I got goosebumps listening to this! Congratulations on your well deserved win
Thanks Shane. Proud of the way the words fit so perfectly with the beautiful music. Jem singing it brings out the haunting feeling of the words. In her studio I am sure she could engineer a recordable version. Jem's best Aussie friend is a violinist. I have videos of Jem singing to Steph's playing. Diana's playing and the story behind the song certainly gave the song immense feeling. The words I chose were simple, but I think they needed to be that way. Appreciate your comment Shane .. Wen
Hearty Congratulations on your POTD! I felt melancholy after reading your heart-rending tale. Yes, so many are indeed gone. That horribly tragic crash years ago, also took the life of Kyu Sakamoto, the singer, composer of the iconic popular hit, "Sukiyaki". Thank you for the e-mail sent to me, I found the portraits cute-cuddly yet stately and noble. I will be using Brix's picture for the book! All my best, Robert
Congratulations on your POTD SV! They do a good job incorporating so many of the song titles into their pieces. But it doesn’t compare to lyrics that are genuine and straight from the heart and accompanied by the violinist, Yukawa—hauntingly heartfelt. You would write to her melody like Cornish wants for the contest, a challenging task! Well-done. Health & Love my friend ~Anaya
