Things Found In a Dragons Nest

Teddy Bear regrets left out in the rain for good. All that collects in a corner of a neglected life. A father’s tobacco tin where a Swiss Army knife sharpens itself. A novelty pen, turn it upside down, the clothes fall off a lady inside - but no longer. A chrome implement for opening cans of worms. Broken struts and beam for building fledgling affairs. Old love-letters masquerading as moths. The dragon accumulates; it’s nest a horde of collateral waste, but like all those of its kind it loves the hopelessly lost.

Seriously, man, your gift is rare. I would say your pen flows gold, but it doesn't... it flows a slick, black oil that cannot be washed away.

Thanks Lawrence, we like to think our poems are indelible, but time washes even oil away. However, it's always great to be appreciated in the moment. Best e
