They Linger

Cold and snow fell upon the earth nature's marvel in winter tide's birth and I was sure the flickering would cease that called each night to be released; but as the clouded evening fell along the fanned out trunk and branching wells, fireflies still lit the canopy of the trees there the remaining few blinked freely in the breeze. Tho temps had dropped to freezing still they linger in the soft moon glow teaseing while snow lay along the trodden ground of shortened time left them to astound.
