Seven Ten form created by Emile Pinot.
"there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former world has now passed away ......"
Revelation, Bible
Through the ornate gates I walk,
in this old place that I love;
this is where my family are buried,
scattered are the graves but I know the way:
Oh, have walked these same steps a thousand times!
Passing the leaning gnarled trees,
their twisted branches reaching;
down a winding cracked path I walk slowly,
as I like to read the words on the stones:
How much a loved soul meant to them is there!
Here and there are flowers left,
even on old crumbling stones;
on many graves flowers have been planted,
at our grave site I am growing roses:
They are a rosy mauve that Mom adored!
I am here my beloved,
sorry it has been so long;
I fall to my knees saying all their names,
remembering the sweetest memories:
Then, leave my wilted bouquet and my tears!
