There's Nothing That I'D Rather Do
“there is nothing that i’d rather do,
than spend time in a Christmas globe with you…”
through the glass of a globe * *
that bestows a spirit anew, *
i sense the comfort of his
heaven, *
with ethereal divinity shining * *
in his deep chestnut eyes- *
for he is my crepuscular dawn,
my rising of the crystalline sun * *
on Christmas morn;
a canvas of embracing mistletoe, * * *
under doorways hung,
(our favorite kiss) * *
for our love story shan’t amiss *
* *
dulcet snowbell tunes, *
glitter spreading amongst the *
windy shadows, *
all who gaze at the transparency *
shall see what we have built- * *
minutes of joy – days of hope *
~ years of ineffable love ~ * * *
this year shall be our twenty-third * *
Christmas spent in love- *
as ruby lights gleam with excitement, *
ivory envelopes Colorado pines;
(for December sparkles when he is near) * *
*
snowflakes begin to spread like * * *
wildfire in the desert,
like seeds sown in the fields of winter’s * * *
gust they polish our globe with
resonating radiance * * *
*
“no, my love- * * * *
there is nothing that i’d rather do…
than spend time in a Christmas globe with you” *
* *
*
