There is something about evening
There's something about evening,
looking back on a day of time well spent
Or a day of troubles that relent
A calmness settles in, to be able to reflect,
a new view from each hour traveled
Near or far, city or country, noisy or quiet
Dayl light filled with open or closed doors
Evening is a time to settle things within,
to re-direct and then begin again
A time to find solutions before rest,
a beginning of a night for hope to be renewed
Energized to rise and face the morning
Goodness can now grow or mistakes turn to lessons
While refreshing opportunities blossom into new steps,
to be taken one at a time, so to fill our hearts
Until there is plenty to feel and more to give
All this leading someone else to sit in evening
- to remember your smile -
