The Worst Child

He is the worst child. Just watch. He was fine, until he heard that. Then he had to live up to it. He was amazing, throwing, tearing, stomping, screaming. Proving his adult right. I find it ridiculously sad that she is his mother, the only adult in his home And he is three. “DON’T RUN!” she yelled, and he is gone. By the time he is five, he may be ruined by this kind of love.

Lovely! This poem is didactic. I could reason along and appreciate your style. Much love, Adeniji.

Thank you Adeniji. I wish I could say I rarely see this.

There is a lesson to be learned. Loving a child means guiding them and using discipline when it is necessary. It does a child no favor to give them everything, and let them do everything without consequence :) PS.....thank you so much Caren for my high placement in your "leader" contest! I'm so happy you liked my entry!!

Like it? As I recall, I loved it, Carrie. When I put these in order of the ones that really hit my heart, I never know whose I have. It's always a delight to see who places. I hope that everyone knows there is no such thing as a bad poem.
