Listen to poem:
neither friend nor foe the silence
stands guard over me tonight
lingering in between the shadows
as it watches my every move
and a sinister wind from the north
barrels down without warning
doors unhinged clearing through
its howling strangely reminding me
of enchanted summer days past
when sunsets crowned the skies
and it was warm gentle breezes
that stirred the chimes of hearts
