The Winding Path
A twisted path, where shadows softly creep,
I walked alone, with doubt a heavy chain,
And whispered fears, that stole my tranquil sleep.
A distant light, through darkness, did remain,
A fragile hope, that beckoned me to rise,
And break the bonds, that held me in their reign.
The winding path, before my weary eyes,
Began to glow, with colors bright and new,
As sunlit peaks, dispelled the somber skies.
A strength within, that I had never knew,
Emerged and bloomed, like flowers in the spring,
And led me forth, to where the wild winds blew.
No longer bound, by sorrow's bitter sting,
I walked with grace, along the sunlit way,
And heard the joyful songs, the wild birds sing.
No longer slaved by loneliness and gray,
I embraced the breeze of the windy night,
As I listened to what the bright stars say.
Faith strengthened, edified in the road's light,
Sparkling day of victory dawned in sight!
