The Weep Eternal
I slaved hard to subdue my anger,
I chained myself deep in my cavern keep
Condemned to restless sleep,
shielded from the blood full moon
Eternal tears I weep
I refuse to become a beast ...
what they claim I and my people be
I won’t relinquish my humanity
because of the evil things done to me
Spiteful nails were driven into my soul,
crucified by words of hate
I bear the burden of unconditional forgiveness,
I carry it heavy to my grave
Though bonds of misery were placed on me,
I put my trust in the Lord
and He set me free
I weep eternal tears,
tears of joyous victory
Overcoming all tribulation
Faced with daily temptation ...
Eternal tears I weep,
peace only comes when I cry myself to sleep
