The Way We Are
When we are awoken by the calling of the universe,
We hear birds,
We hear rain,
We hear wind flow like water through seas of limbs.
Yet we still find ways to be discontent.
We still find ways to curse the lives we live.
And as broken as we feel,
We can bask in the realization that one day,
The stars will take us back,
Just the way we are.
