The Walls Are Crushing Me

"When God closes a door he opens a window." Quote - Unknown
my nest became empty not because my child graduated high school and went off to university graduated from that got a job in another city fell in love and got married my son never saw the blue sky I held him but twice once dead in my arms and then to place him in his coffin bed where his bones will lay for eternity my husband and I took apart his lovely nursery room donating everything to a woman's shelter mom, I asked do I return the gifts to people after it was empty we closed the door and we wept holding each other my husband took it very badly sinking into a deep depression and funk I could not pull him back he was slipping away from me and our love one winter day he crashed his car and now my nest was empty forever I will never know for sure if it was an accident but, I still love him and will always now, what alone the walls crushing in on me the memories wanting to bury me lost in a dark hole of nothing I could not live like this way so I went home to my parents I went back to my original nest my old room to the love only parents can give and one step at a time oh yes, it took lots of time now, today, I have a new nest full of the things that I love and a sweet little cat to love will there be more well, only time will tell

as of prior soul agreement, on earth, memory erased, we experience pain, overcome suffering and hardships, our strength itself being what else but God’s grace. we become gentler, quieter, we accept what is as is and so grow. a beautifully penned poem, Constance! God bless

Constance, you've endured a lifetime of heartache and yet your heart is filled with loving memories. You have family here who love you and the poetry that you so willingly share with us. Tears you cry now... I'm sure you spilled many while writing your sentimental emotions.
