The Wall
Was she trapped forever inside her blackness,
Imprisoned within the walls of her mind,
Different rooms of confusion,
Unconsciousness keeping her bound,
Back and forth looking for the doorway out,
Where am I!
Can anyone here me,
Round and round searching for the light,
Following the distant voices,
Reassuring and comforting,
Sometimes she heard music playing,
It comforted her,
It seemed she was forever alone,
Day and night the same,
In her loneliness and despair,
She was unaware of any life outside,
People visited her every day,
We love you they would say,
They stroked her hand and head,
Wake up come back,
Their hearts cried out,
Five years in a coma,
One day a glimmer of hope,
Light started shining through,
Her darkened room got brighter,
She felt so much love,
Brick by brick
Her wall came tumbling down,
She woke up,
Found the entrance,
She could hear them calling,
And followed the light.
