The Voices and I

If only there was something left in me to confess…

But there are no secrets, only guilt. 

If only there was someone left to wait for…

But the wait is the only thing keeping me alive. 

If only there was something left to escape…

But the voices aren’t worth escaping. 

No, they really aren’t.
