The Voices

The crazy voices in my head Are haiku, sonnet, and nonet They're driving me insane! They demand to be written now As sure as hell, I don’t know how They're being such a pain! They just laugh while tormenting me From their prison I must break free They make me feel so blue! “Some poetess you claim you are Without us, dear, you shan't go far Believe us, this is true!" I have no way to comprehend How these voices to me are send To make me take a fall! My dilemma I give to you Oh please tell me, what can I do? Help me….voices and all! Eileen Manassian Ghali

To the defense of our poetess, I have to say voices as such do not exist! It is only the plethora of the battling inspirations that demand to be given voice, to be expressed to be heard! Eileen you are a prolific poetess and writer but you firmer have to become and take command of your pen. You decide who is going to be heard and when! Wonderful writing! Thank you!

I don't bother with all those rules, I just write what comes and then think what it might be, I'd say in answer to your question to carry on what your doing, it's working. Take care, Richard

You should listen to the song Voice by Chris Young... it's a good song! But that's a bit off-topic. I get this feeling like none other. It can be a perfectly normal day, just talking with family and friends and then I will just have to leave the room unexpectedly. No one knows why... but I just can't FUNCTION until the words are off my chest and logged away somewhere (my phone, my Kindle, email, notebook etc.). I don't have faith my memory will keep hold of the inspiration I had at the moment.

I know, Timothy! Worse thing is when I'm in bed...hubby wants to sleep and the words start to flow.... I was going to write an awesome Limerick about the bothersome haiku...I had two stanzas in my head and I'm like....This is So good, you'll remember it in the morning, girl! Well.....I DIDN'T! :( What do you do when you're in the shower and the words come....nothing can help you there! Hugs!
