The Value of Today
If only we could turn back time, I would save her if I could
Stop what happened in front of me, let justice be as it should
The cellar would no longer be haunted or relived in my mind
She and I would still be friends, the best friend a child could find
If only we could turn back time, I would break the silence somehow
Find another way to get help, then remember the angels now
Or I would have acted faster and then taken her hand to go
Where we were heading then, before anyone would know
But, time is always moving forward and there is no turning back
This is why the moment now, is so important on this track
This rumbling track we travel through life, time is like a train
Loss is in the speeding scenery passed, that we will never regain
It’s time to think, act, love and evolve in the most positive way
All we really have is right now, in the precious value of today
