The Twin Oak
There is a tree
A large twin oak
That’s watched the lives
Of this farm's folk
A double trunk
Grows from the ground
Becoming one huge
Grand one found
Within the field
That saw the lives of
Jimmy, San and
Johnny thrive
So many others
Did it see
Within the years
This grand old tree
And now beneath its glorious shade
The shadows of the loved ones
Fade, in and out of moonlit nights
Gone but present in our sights
