The Truth About Fear
Mr. Fear told you that you were not good enough.
He is so convincing that he captured your attention.
That was a lie.
He told you that you would never amount to anything.
Circumstances seemed to be on the side of Mr. Fear.
That was a lie.
He told you that your dreams would never come true,
and that they would drown in a sea of nightmares.
That was a lie.
Mr. Fear said that you would fail, and that failure
would make you cry. He said that you shouldn't even try.
That was a lie.
Fear is a liar.
Fear is a robber.
Fear is a deceiver.
Fear is a tormentor.
Faith says that I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me. That is the truth.
The fear of man is a snare, but the fear of God
takes away every stressful care. That is the truth.
In fact, almost everything that fear has ever said
to me was a lie. And that is the truth.
