The Truth

The truth By Michelle Morris 17/03/2023 The truth is like a beacon It shines bright and really glows The authentic is refreshing In a world false and shallow Too many people pretending To be something that they're not Longing to be someone In this pop culture life The truth is often feared Authenticity rejected People are afraid Of those who won't pretend Life is filled with lessons Experiences that provide wisdom If we deny who we are We forfeit the gift of our true souls We have a choice each time No matter how long we've waited We can eventually be ourselves And grace the Universe with our light The truth can become a blessing If we are prepared to be brave If we all showed our souls' essence We could create a beautiful world © Michelle Morris, 2023
