The Three Point Play
A winter time sport that is known to all
is the ever popular game of basketball.
The traditional rule in both college and the pros
is that you get two points for a basket, and one point for free-throws.
There was a group of teams from an earlier day.
This defunct league was known as the ABA.
If you put the ball through the hoop from more than twenty-five feet away,
you would get three points for that shot any day.
The ABA went out of business and has gone away.
College and the NBA have adopted the three point play.
