The Sun We Share

Oh, how I love the sun that lights my day and how it warms my heart when you’re away. For knowing but the same star that I see is but the same to guide you back to me. You see, the sun we share will bring us home when life demands the roads that we must roam. A beacon that forevermore will shine our love will burn and be forever mine. So when you feel the need to know my love, just look no farther than the sky above.

I love the connection of love and nature in this lovely poem Mike. I am just now reading the winning poems. When her contest results were posted I was on my way to say goodbye to my son who was brain dead and my life fell apart. I could not concentrate on poetry for months. It is a blessing to be back reading poetry again. Hugs Connie
