The Sun Is Sleeping
the sun is sleeping
and the wind is weeping
each day bare branches increase
and fallen leaves rest in peace
today, snowflakes are snickering
and winter is whispering
soon trees will put on white gowns
and winter will be full of life and sounds
of falling snow
and of Christmas lights that glow
of ice moaning, moaning, moaning
and rivers groaning
of birds and little creatures searching
and of snowflakes that keep weeping
weeping, weeping, weeping, weeping
while the sun is sleeping, sleeping
