The Studio At The Beach Part II- The Green Dress Regalia

Her dear father and his consoling ways
If she couldn’t concentrate on schoolwork
he'd put his book down, light his cigar,
In a deep mellow reverie, pick up his guitar
I know it hasn’t been easy with schoolwork
he'd sigh, smoke billowing from his mouth
Shrouding our faces in a gray-white fog
He'd speak in a comforting melodious purr
Wrapping his arm around his daughter’s shoulder,
My precious little jewel, there is no reason
for you to be so downcast, you're breaking my heart

Catching up on poems of yours I've missed, reading in reverse order, so comments seem strange after "Papi". Wonderful tribute to you Dad, Anaya. Have a great day my friend. Bill

Dear Anaya, this is such a ver lovely moving poem. I'm pretty sure your angel dad is smiling and wrapping around his arm to you again right now. A very precious gift to him flying to heaven this Father's Day. I love this poem a lot reminding me of my dad when he was still on earth, too. Thank you so much for sharing this marvelous poem along with your beautiful painting. Thanks a lot. God bless you always. Hugs

Dear Anaya, your tender yet vibrant verse brings me to the center of this precious moment. Your gifted pen spills an intimate scene ripe with love, admiration and appreciation for your beloved papi, Enrique, a kind loving man and father. A deeply moving poem. I adore your painting accompanying this exquisite poem.. you are very talented with both words and paints. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

My father leaves me with a treasure trove of fond memories, his passing was quick, and I was lucky to spend time with him the last year of his life, it was good. I don't feel as if I lost him, but that he is out of his pain and in a good place. There was a time I really enjoyed painting, I use perspective, watercolors, I stopped and who knows if ever will paint again. I am happy you enjoyed my poem and artwork; it means a lot to me. I am glad you enjoyed Susan, you are too kind. Thank you, I Am Anaya
